MOGA

We've added MOGA support to many Gallant Realm games. A MOGA is a cool mobile game controller that works like many console-based game controllers. This page will help you get setup to use MOGA on GallentRealm games.

MOGA Setup

The MOGA uses your device's bluetooth support. But turning on bluetooth and the controller is not enough to make it ready to use. You also need to pair the controller with your Android device.

Use the MOGA Pivot app to perform the pairing and prepare the MOGA for use. You need to do this before each use of the MOGA. After pairing you can quit the Pivot app and invoke the Gallant Realm game.

In the Gallant Realm game, open Settings. Select MOGA for the controller. Click OK then Play to start playing with MOGA!

Using MOGA

For all of the Gallant Realm games, once the 3D portion of the game is started, you can use the MOGA to control everything. This means we've mapped the MOGA's DPad, joysticks and buttons to all the functions of the game.

The left/right joysticks all work similar to tilting or using the on-screen joysick. You can use whichever you choose, they both work the same, typically to move forward and back, and turn left and right.

There are eight buttons on most MOGAs. The Gallant Realm games don't utilize all of the buttons for separate functions. Instead, several buttons on the MOGA have the same function. The table below shows the usual mapping of the buttons:

Button Function
Select Change view function
Play Pause the game.
Right Trigger The button that appears on the top-right of the screen. Usually, start game or fire button.
Left Trigger The button that appears second down on the right. Usually some special function, like Nitro in Race the Robots.
A Performs the same function as the down DPad button. It is useful when racing as it acts like the brake.
B Performs the same function as the up DPad button. It is useful when racing as it acts like the accelerator.
X The OK or leftmost button on dialogs. Also, the button that appears on the top-right of the screen.
Y The Cancel or Quit button on dialogs. Also, the button that appears second down on the right.

Keep an eye out for buttons appearing and disappearing on the top right. The intention of this is to make certain functions available at the right times for MOGA use, but the buttons can also be pressed when not using MOGA.
